Abstract

1424226 Agricultural track marker; tractor hitches AMAZONEN-WERKE H DREYER 10 April 1973 [11 April 1972] 17084/73 Heading A1B, A1D and A1P A control device for lifting and lowering 'track markers is characterised in that movement of the markers results from vertical movement of an implement carried by tractor lifting arms and provides automatic alternation between two track markers carried one on each side of the implement. When an implement 16 is lifted by rotating tractor lifting arms 7, 8 anticlockwise, lever 9 rotates with arm 7 about a pivot 10 causing an anticlockwise force on a lever 1 via a spring 15, a plate 13 and an arm 11. This causes a pulley 12 on the end of the lever 1 to move in the direction of the arrow 27 (Fig. 3). A wire 20 passing over pulleys 12 and 19 terminates at pulley blocks 2 and 2' and since pulley block 2' is locked against a stop 26' by a pawl 24', movement of the pulley 12 results in inward movement of the pulley block 2 and also a wire 18 attached to a left hand track marker (not shown). Towards the end of its movement the pulley block 2 makes contact with the end of a swinging arm 23 (Fig. 2) and displaces an assembly 3, including a rod 21. When the pulley block 2 has reached the end of its stroke, a rod 21 has caused rotation of the pawl 24', thus unlocking the pulley block 2', and also allowed the pawl 24 to rotate clockwise with gravity to lock the pulley block 2 against the stop 26. Also the end of a spring 25 attached to the swinging arm 23 has toggled about a pivot 22 causing the arm 23 to rotate clockwise to its second stable position. Lowering of the tractor lifting arms will now cause movement of the pulley 12 in the direction opposite to the arrow 27 and thus outward movement of the pulley block 2' and downward movement of the right hand track marker attached to the wire 18'. Subsequent movement will cause the left and right hand track markers to lift alternately. Movement of each marker through a limited stroke can be made without reversal taking place.
