1423769 Clamping straps M L M THORSMAN and B AMLSTRAND 18 Dec 1973 [19 Jan 1973 22 March 1973] 58532/73 Heading E2B A clamp strap of plastics for pipes etc comprises a body 1 with a contact surface adapted for abutment of the pipe thereto, and a stripshaped element 2 extending from one edge of the contact surface and having fastening means such as a rib 3, for coaction with corresponding means, i.e. grooves 4, on the body; the contact surface consists of resilient tongues or ridges 5 projecting from the body so that, in use, the pipe in its clamped position abuts the free edges of the tongues or ridges. The latter may taper towards their free edges, and the element 2 may have lateral, transversely slotted edge flanges 10.
