Abstract

Bedsteads convertible into seats and tables.- A collapsible structure is adapted to be set up as shown in side and end elevation in Figs. 1 and 3 as a bed; with the legs extended as shown in dotted lines as a table; or with the parts arranged as shown in Fig. 2 as a seat. The top comprises a flexible covering attached to side bars 1, 4 and end bars 7 connected together by pins and sockets and supported by folding legs 3 and stays 10, 13, 19. The stays 10, 13 can be arranged either as shown in Fig. 2, where the flexible covering sags to form a hammock seat, or as shown in Fig. 3, when the structure is used as a bedstead or table. The parts of the legs are locked in position when extended by a pivoted spring catch.
