Abstract

1422647 Magnetic separators H SPOD1G 22 Feb 1973 [10 March 1972] 8655/73 Heading B2J A magnetic separator comprises a ferromagnetic housing 3 within which there is arranged a grid assembly constituted by ferromagnetic rods 1 and permanent magnets 2. As shown, those magnets touching the housing do so with their N-poles, but in a modification (Fig. 2, shown) the housing is in contact with the N- poles of one set of magnets and the S-poles of another set. The housing may be associated with a feeding funnel and a discharge chute (Fig. 3, not shown).
