Abstract
1421860 Cement PERLMOOSER ZEMENTWERKE AG 23 March 1973 [23 March 1972 25 April 1972 (3) 22 Jan 1973] 14227/73 Heading C1H A cement is based on a clinker containing 11CaO.7Al 2 O 3 CaX 2 where X is F or Cl and an additive, intended to reduce the Ca ion concentration in the liquid phase by binding the Ca ions, selected from natural and artificial pozzolanas, fine grained blast furnace slags, NaF, Na 2 CO 3 , NaOH, cryolite, HF, aluminates, aluminosulphates, borates, phosphates chlorides or nitrates of Na or K, silicofluorides of Na, K or Mg, NaHCO 3 and water glass. The pozzolanas may include ground volcanic ashes, ground tuff, trass, molar earth, gaize, kieselguhr, santonn, diatomaceous earth, tripoli, calcined fine grained clay, calcined fine grained slate, oil shale combustion residues, and flue ash. The examples describe compositions containing the additives, the cement, Portland cement, various calcium sulphates and in Example 16 the use of wood as aggregate is described. The additives may either be ground with the clinker, admixed with the ground cement or added during the mixing of the concrete.
