Abstract

1421771 Waste-disposal apparatus HAIGH ENG CO LTD 19 Dec 1973 [3 Oct 1972] 45461/72 Addition to 1046836 Heading B2A Waste-disposal apparatus comprising a casing 3 Fig. 1 with a top inlet 6 and bottom outlet 11 includes a closure 12 with a plurality of nozzles 22 (preferably three) arranged to deliver a cleansing flow of water to the entire inner surface of the closure and casing. Each nozzle is connected to a manifold 123 on the centre of the closure 12. When the closure is closed a switch 60 and a master switch 160 energise the motor and preferably a pump 53. The closure includes a positive looking handle 166 which is interlocked with switch 160. The usual timer is included. Each nozzle comprises a continuous annular orifice 33 between vent members 25, 31 Fig. 5. One or more nozzles may be arranged to discharge disinfectant or steam into the apparatus.
