Abstract
1421684 Gas filter KRUPP-KOPPERS GmbH 22 May 1974 [8 June 1973[ 22981/74 Heading BIT Gas is filtered by passing upwards through a filter bed of 4 of gravel, which is continually or intermittently withdrawn at 6, regenerated by passage upwards in a co-current air stream and returned to the top of the bed at 16, the dust-laden air from regenerator 7 being separately filtered by cloth filter 11. Gravel may be carried up regenerator 7 by an auger or by the air flow alone. The gas may pass through bed 4 sufficiently fast to expand or fluidise the bed. One regenerator 7 may serve several bed filters, regenerating gravel from each filter in turn.
