Abstract
1379696 Purifying dust laden gas in a filter HEINRICH LUHR VDI STAUBTECHNIK 27 March 1973 [28 March 1972] 14789/73 Heading BIT In filtering dust-laden gas in which the filtered dust is recycled to agglomerate incoming fine dust, chemical additives are added to the recycled dust to remove sulphur and chlorine compounds, e.g. (from flue gas). The filter is a pocket or bag filter; dust is recycled in a quantity per unit time 2-100 times the quantity of unfiltered dust arriving per unit time, and dust is permanently removed at the same rate at which unfiltered dust arrives. The chemical additive may be an oxide or hydroxide of an alkali metal and alkaline earth metal or of aluminium, (including burnt lime and calcined dolomite) and may be in suspension or powder form.
