Jacks.-In a fluid-pressure jack for motorvehicles &c. of the kind having the forcing pump D and ram cylinder C mounted on a common base A and surrounded by a casing B that serves as a reservoir for the non-congealable working fluid, the passage P connecting the pump and ram cylinders is put into communication with the reservoir, when it is desired to lower the ram, by depressing the ball valve 0 by means of the rod M. This depression can be effected by the bent arm S of a sleeve R which is rotatably mounted on the actuating handle H of the pump.
