Abstract

1419727 Lamellar gold powder DEMETRON GES FUR ELEKTRONIK-WERKSTOFFE mbH 10 June 1974 [15 June 1973] 25656/74 Heading C7D Lamellar gold powder is produced by reducing an aqueous hydrochloric acid solution containing at least 5% of gold as tetrachloroauric acid with an unsaturated alcohol (e.g. allyl and/or propargyl alcohol or endiols) in the presence of a protective colloid (e.g. dextrin, gum arabic, methyl-cellulose or tannic acid). The preferred pH range for the reduction is 0-4.
