Abstract

1419434 Animal trap B E MASTERS 22 Aug 1973 39678/73 Heading AIM An animal trap comprises a metal structure 1 having an entrance end 2 with a plurality of freely suspended bars 3, and exit door 5. The roof at the entrance end 2 is bent down. as shown at 7, at an angel of 45‹ and is provided with slots to accommodate and restrict said bars 3 so that their height above the floor is sufficient to allow an animal access, being swung upwardly and inwardly by said animal entering, and so that they hang inwardly to prevent the animal escaping. The exit door 5 is fixed to a solid axle 9 which actsas a hinge pin, and is secured by a solid bar catch 10 fixed to the top of the trap. An extension piece, constructed of wire mesh is provided to form a tapering tunnel of the exit end when the door is lowered; this facilitates bulk catching.
