Abstract

1419231 Feeding sheets J BOBST & FILS SA 15 Feb 1974 [21 June 1973] 6938/74 Heading B8R The lowermost sheet 1 of a pile 2 is separated by a reciprocable suction plate 5 which feeds the sheet between a front gauge 10 and front guides 11 to a gripper 3 which advances the sheet to a processing machine. A pile back stop 7 is provided and presents a stepped surface to the back edges of the sheets so that as the plate 5 returns and tends to urge the next-most sheet 6 backwards, the rear edge of the sheet 6 abuts and is registered against the stop 7. At the same time, rotatable brushes 8 urge the other sheets in the pile forwards against the gauge 10. The stop 7 and back pile supports (12), (13), Fig. 2 (not shown), are supported via a shaft 14. The stop 7 is vertically adjustable.
