Abstract

1418988 Coupling cables MANUFACTURAS DE ACERO Y CAUCHO SA 13 April 1973 [16 May 1972] 17973/73 Heading D1T {Also in Division El] At least one reinforcing tendon 10 is connected to at least one further tendon 6 by means of a jointing device comprising two plates 15, 9 and a series of screw bolts 21 or pins. Tendons 10 are secured to the plate 15 by passing through apertures therein and being rivetted over at their ends 13. Tendons 6 are secured to the plate 9 by means of split collets 7. The two plates are then tightened together by the screw bolts 21 which bring them into abutment at a bearing surface 17. The tendons are subsequently tensioned.
