Abstract

1418897 Boxes PLASTONA (JOHN WADDINGTON) Ltd 5 March 1973 [13 April 1972] 16993/72 Heading B8P Hinged egg box sections 12 and 14 of moulded sheet polystyrene are retained in the closed position by the interengagement of ribs 22 with grooves 24, said ribs and grooves extending transversely to the hinge lines 10 to permit ready registration thereof. The ribs are provided with a lead-in taper portion 22A adjacent the hinge lines, and the grooves are provided with recesses 26 to facilitate de-nesting of the stacked open box sections. The grooves and ribs have a bulbous section to facilitate frictional spring- ing of the ribs into the grooves. One box section only may be provided with contents-receiving recesses 18. The box may be provided with twelve recesses 18 and be divisable into two sets of six.
