Abstract

1418768 Building walls SPECIALTY STRUCTURES PTY Ltd 29 Jan 1973 [3 Feb 1972] 4462/73 Heading E1B A brick wall 11 is faced with laminated panels each having a moisture resistant layer of metal foil facing the bricks and at least one layer of insulating material. The panels being adhered to spacers by contact adhesive which is also used to secure the spacers to the bricks. Iron straps 22 which at one end engage beams 33 are at their other end secured in the mortar of the wall, the straps being tensioned to stress the wall. The panel preferably comprises metal foil, expanded polystyrene or polyurethane, two layers of cardboard, a plaster layer and a further layer of cardboard.
