Abstract

1418155 Driving open-end spinning machines SIEMENS AG 20 July 1973 [20 July 1972] 34854/73 Headings DID and DIN In an open-end spinning machine the spinning chamber 2, fibre feed device 5 and yarn withdrawal device 4 each have an individual drive, the speeds of the drives being adjustable but a pre-determined ratio being maintained between them. As shown motors M are fed from busbars 16a, 16b, 16c which serve the whole machine or may be divided by switches 18 to serve sections, each having independent power sources. The busbars are fed by static converters 9, 10, 11 each associated with an adjustable frequency divider 12, 13, 14 fed by a common frequency generator 15, the adjustable frequency dividers allowing alteration of the predetermined drive speed ratios.
