1417834 Starch monophosphates HOFFMANN'S STARKEFABRIKEN AG 18 Feb 1974 [23 Feb 1973] 7203/74 Heading C3U A process for the production of a mono-starch monophosphate comprises reacting a starch with an alkali mono- and/or polyphosphate at a pH of from 4 to 7 in the presence of non- oxidizing anions of a strong acid other than phosphoric acid, e.g. hydrochloric or sulphuric acid. The esterification is preferably carried out at a pH of from 4À3-5À3.
