Abstract
1417548 Shoots YOUNG BARBER & CO Ltd 4 April 1973 [6 Jan 1972] 560/72 Heading B8S [Also in Division B3] A workpiece magazine feed unit, e.g. for a capstan lathe, comprises a bracket 4 for attaching to a machine tool, an elongated carrier plate 1 pivotally mounted on the bracket 4 for adjustment of its angle of inclination, the carrier plate 1 carrying a pair of longitudinal spaced apart guides 24 the relative transverse spacing of which is adjustable, a foot plate 12 pivotally mounted on the end of the carrier plate 1 adjacent the bracket 4 and spring 13 biased into a position for supporting workpieces, and one of the guides 24 being movable lengthwise of the carrier plate 1 so that the distance between the end of the one guide 24 and the foot plate 12, defining a discharge gap for workpieces, is adjustable. The longitudinal guide 24 is adjusted transversely by being supported on screwed studs extending through side brackets 22, 23. Similar aligned brackets on the other side of the carrier plate 1 enable two bridge members 16 to be supported to carry a guide strip 21. (For. Figures see next page.)
