Abstract

1417467 Liquid heaters H OHKI Y ITO and M TAKANO 16 June 1973 28721/73 Heading F4A A system for producing hot liquid by utilizing the engine cooling system of a motor vehicle comprises a heat exchange section 10 connected in the engine cooling system 11, 16, 17 of the motor vehicle through which heat exchange section 10 extends a first conduit 13 from a first pump 18 mounted within a drinking water reservoir 19 to a first liquid outlet 20 provided in the motor vehicle dashboard 33. A further conduit 14 extends through the heat exchange section 10 from a second pump 21 mounted within a windscreen washer liquid reservoir 22 to a second liquid outlet spray nozzle 23 provided adjacent to the windscreen 24 of the motor vehicle. Should unheated cleaning fluid from the reservoir 22 be demanded then a valve 25 may be operated to by-pass the heat exchanger 10 through conduit 26.
