Abstract

1417445 Coated glass sheet CARL ZEISS JENA VEB 15 March 1973 12429/73 Heading B2E A glass sheet is coated with a large area diffusion layer for use in microfilm devices, by coating the surface of the sheet one or more times with a mixture comprising (i) a solution of polyvinyl alcohol, (ii) an aqueous dispersion of a polyacrylate or polyvinyl acetate as opacifying agent, and (iii) a plasticiser, the pH of the mixture being less than 5; drying the coating; and applying to it a protective varnish film, the varnish film being an alkyd varnish, a spirit varnish, an oil varnish or a methacrylate varnish.
