Abstract

1417189 Sun visors HAPPICH GmbH Gebr 19 Dec 1972 [12 Jan 1972] 58492/72 Heading B7J A vehicle sun visor comprises a wire frame 1 disposed in the body of the visor (not shown), in which each end of the wire is formed with a bend 7 adjacent the car and each end of the wire is engaged in a retaining member 2, the portion of each retaining member 2 in which a wire end is engaged being with a hole 5 in which the wire end is received and a slot 6 at an angle to the hole and having its centre plane consistent with the axis of the hole 5, the end of the wire being pushed into the hole to the point in which a portion of the wire remote from the end enters the slot 6 whereby the parts are so engaged with each other that rotation of the wire frame 1 about the said axis and out of the said centre plane is prevented. Each member 2, also has a blind hole 3 to receive one end of a straight wire 1a, and also a bearing 10 for a supporting shaft. In another embodiment the ends of the wire frame 1 are engaged in end portions of a single retaining member.
