1416804 Preparation of substituted cyclopropane carboxylic acids SHELL INTERNATIONALE RESEARCH MAATSCHAPPIJ BV 5 March 1973 10531/73 Heading C2C Cis-substituted cyclopropane carboxylic acids are prepared by reacting an alkenylmagnesium compound with a cyclopropenyl compound at elevated temperature in the presence of tetrahydrofuran, and converting the reaction product into a substituted cyclopropane carboxylic acid. The examples describe the preparation of cis-chrysanthemic acid and cis-isobutenyl cyclopropane carboxylic acid.
