Abstract

Drawing-appliances. - Apparatus for drawing from nature comprises a rod a provided with a sighting-point b and a drawing-pencil c and connected with a hinged-rod system d, so that the rod can be displaced parallel with and in its own direction in front of a sheet k of paper &c. fixed on a board g or a frame by movement of the pencil in such a manner as to cause the point b to trace the outline of the object to be drawn. The pencil may be secured in a split holder by a slidable ring and may be adjustable to a slanting position with respect to the paper. The rod system d is pivoted to a rod e of a frame f to which the board is secured, and a fixed or pivoted handle i is provided on the rod e whereby the apparatus may be held by the left hand of the user at the height of the face. The board may be slidable on the frame f towards the rod e on which the system d may be folded, the board and rods may be adjustable in size, and the system d may be secured to the board instead of a frame.
