Abstract

1416228 Portable bridge DR ING HCF PORSCHE AG 5 June 1973 [6 June 1972] 26790/73 Heading E1G A portable bridge comprises a plurality of deck units 2 with adjacent ends mounted on a support comprising a pair of telescopic jacks 5 which are spaced from each other in a plane at right angles to the bridge's axis, the jacks having a plate 13 with bearing surfaces 17, 18 and having a pair of ramp panels 15 independently pivoted about a common axis 14 extending between the bearing surfaces such that they can be pivoted to cover the gap between adjacent ends of the deck units. The ramp panels and bearing surfaces have pegs 20 engaging in holes 19 in the deck units. The ramp panels 15 can be locked in place by members 29. The plates 13 rest on the ends of a pressure ram 25 of the jacks and the jacks have arms pivoted to the underside of the plate 13 about an axis parallel to the axis 14, the pivotal movement of the plate being limited by stops 27, 28.
