Abstract

1416056 Transferring pressings from a press DORST-HERAMIKMASHINEN-BAU OTTO DORST U DIPL ING WALTER SCHLEGEL KG 19 Sept 1973 [20 Sept 1972] 43909/73 Heading B5A A device B for transferring pressings from a press A to a support 15 or 15a on which they are packed and sintered includes a rotary plate 6 with suction heads 7, 7a which receive, in turn, pressings from a reciprocatory suction device 4 which raises and laterally removes a pressing from the press die. When the device 4 is above and adjacent a head 7 or 7a its suction is removed and a pressure pulse applied to transfer the pressing to the head whereupon the plate 6 is rotated through 180 degrees to bring the pressing below one of two vertically reciprocable suction heads 12, 12a on carriers 13, 13a on a rotary plate 9, and the pressing is transferred to the adjacent head 12 or 12a and the plate 9 rotated through 180 degrees to bring the pressing above a support 15 or 15a on to which it is transferred after lowering the head. The supports 15, 15a are carried on means 16 which swings through 180 degrees to bring the supports alternately below a head. Alternate pressing may be rotated about their axes through 180 degrees to obtain an optimum stacking arrangement on the support; for this purpose the head 7a may be rotated by means 19 about its axis after receiving a pressing and before transferring it to a head 12 or 12a. All the above operations are synchronized with the press operation.
