Abstract

1415763 Device in the manufacture of aerosol containers COSTER TECNOLOGIE SPECIALI SpA 25 July 1973 [30 Sept 1972] 35394/73 Heading B8T [Also in Division F2] A device used in the filling and closuring of aerosol containers 23 comprises a rigid hollow body 1 having oppositely placed apertures 2 and 3 and a movable element 4, the element having a duct 15 and a bore 13 such that when the element assumes a first position, one end of the duct communicates with aperture 3 and the other end with a conduit 16, thereby allowing fluid to be delivered through the conduit into the container and when it assumes a second position the bore 13 communicates with the apertures 2, 3 whereby a tubular body 29 projects through the bore facilitating the location of a valve seat 24 along with its tube 25 over the container neck. The element may be spherical as shown or it can be in the shape of a cylinder. The first position is assumed when a doubleacting piston 9 is given a downward movement as a result of compressed air being passed through an opening 11 while gas is vented through an opening 12. The second position is assumed when compressed air is passed through 12 while gas is vented through 11.
