Abstract
1414948 Stripline directional couplers TOKYO SHIBAURA ELECTRIC CO Ltd 1 Feb 1974 [12 Feb 1973] 04774/74 Heading H1W A stripline directional coupler comprises two coupling sections 11, 12 each consisting of a pair of strip-lines (respectively 13, 14 and 15, 16) having a single cross-over (respectively 17, 18), the coupling sections each having- an intermediate bend and being coupled together in tandem. The length of each section is one quarter wavelength at the midband operating frequency. In a modification (Fig. 5, not shown) each section is bent into the form of a semicircle. The strip-lines may be printed on a substrate forming the base of a box to the sides of which are affixed four coaxial input/output sockets (Fig. 3, not shown).
