Abstract

1414818 Injection moulding KUPEX AG 30 March 1973 [30 Sept 1972] 15357/73 Heading B5A [Also in Division B2] In a sprinkler comprising a body 12 mounted for semi-rotary motion about an axis (19) and adapted to receive water through a connection (20), openings (32) are formed in the body and into each opening is inserted a plug 28, the plugs being formed on a strip 21. The plugs are formed with diverging bores 25 which terminate in nozzles 22 in semi-spherical projections 29, the nozzles opening into semi-spherical depressions 30. A method of moulding the strip is described in which the strip is formed of plastics material injected into a curved mould 35, 36. The bores are formed parallel with one another by the core pins 37 so that when the strip is removed and straightened, the nozzles diverge.
