Abstract

1414798 Counters PARKS-CRAMER CO 20 Nov 1972 [23 Nov 1971] 53603/72 Heading G4D [Also in Division D1] A counter indicating the number of pivotal movements of yarn controlling plate 42 comprises a numbered wheel 50 which is rotated by pawl 52 acting on ratchet 51. Dimpled plate 54 co-operating with detents 59 in the wheel retain the wheel 50 in preset positions after each angular incremental movement. A planar portion on the ratchet face of wheel 50 prevents the numbered wheel rotating more than one complete revolution. Each time the plate 42 moves to control the yarn and actuate the counter, a flag 48 is raised to visually indicate movement of the plate 42. The plate 42 is reset manually.
