Abstract

1413607 Heat fixing device KONISHIROKU PHOTO INDUSTRY CO Ltd 3 Sept 1973 41352/73 Heading G2H The device 3 includes a fixing roller 4 provided with a microporous metallic surface 7, a heater 8, and release agent feeding means 11. Preferably the roller 4 is metallic and is coated with an anodized-oxidized film of aluminium or is sprayed with a metal. As shown, the feeding means 11 comprises a pick-up roller 13 partially immersed in release agent 12 which it supplies to the roller 4 via release agent-permeable material 9 supported by a member 10. In another embodiment, Fig. 2 (not shown), the release agent is transferred from a pick-up roller to the fixing roller by an intermediate roller coated with release agent-permeable material.
