Abstract

1413252 Coaxial electromagnetic switch STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES Ltd 11 Jan 1973 1524/73 Heading H1N A coaxial switch has three terminals 24, 24, 25 and terminal 25 is common to two paths each of which includes two series-connected contact units 1, 3 or 2, 4 each provided with an operating coil 28a. The contact units 1 and 2 are of the change-over type whilst the contact units 3, 4 are normally open. Since the coils of each series set of contact units 1, 3 or 2, 4 are connected in series and one fixed contact of each unit 1, 2 is earthed the path which has its coil in the deenergized condition includes an earthed connection ensuring complete isolation. The switch has a base 15, tubes 21 and cover block 19 all of which may be made of brass.
