Abstract

1411156 Electrolytic waste water treatment PEC PROCESS ENG & CONTRACTORS Ltd 30 April 1973 [17 Aug 1972] 20383/73 Heading C7B Waste water containing emulsified oils and fats is separated into oil and water phases by adding chemicals which afford one more alkali metal chlorides, followed by electrolysis to produce an oil phase and an aqueous phase, the latter being treated by evaporation or by a membrane separation process, such as electrodialysis or reverse osmosis, to produce pure water and a salt solution which is recycled.
