1411086 Sawdust compositions ALVECHURCH SAWDUST CO Ltd 6 Feb 1973 [10 Dec 1971] 57409/71 Heading C4X A fire resistant sawdust composition comprises sawdust having dispersed therein from 1 to 10% by weight of a sodium bicarbonate or potassium bicarbonate powder or a sodium bicarbonate or potassium bicarbonate based fire extinguishing powder. The composition may be used to lay dust. The preferred sawdust is fresh English softwood sawmill sawdust. The powder may comprise commercial grade sodium bicarbonate with up to 10% by weight of additives to render it fluent to assist in the powder being dispersed in the sawdust.
