Abstract

1411028 Gate and hold circuits MOTOROLA Inc 10 July 1973 [21 Sept 1972] 0139/74 Divided out of 1411027 Heading H3T A sample and hold circuit comprises a MOSFET 121 via which a first capacitor 114 is chargeable in 20 nanoseconds, the charge then being transferred through a solid state switch 115 and an amplifier 116 to a second, larger, capacitor (e.g. 0À2 mfd) on which the signal is held until it is switched at 59 to a utilization circuit. The circuit is one of four in a weapon guidance system which forms the subject of the Parent Specification 1,411,027, they are operated sequentially by pulses (Fig. 7, not shown) to sample the input from an aerial which may contain reflected signals after 20 nanoseconds (Fig. 5, not shown), the object being to discriminate between the direct and reflected signals.
