Abstract

1409304 Valves GIRLING Ltd 7 Sept 1973 [21 Sept 1972] 43703/72 Heading F2V The valve has a slidable plate 8 with an orifice 11 biased by an O-ring 10 away from a seat 7 and moved towards the seat by pressure differential thereacross when the pressure at the inlet 4 rises. The ring 10 also acts as a seal between the plate and the housing. The seat may have a radial channel 14 to allow a small flow to the outlet 6 even when the plate is fully closed. Housing seal 15 may be dispensed with in which case the ring 10 is disposed to act as a housing seal.
