Abstract

1409005 Electronic watches SUWA SEIKOSHA KK 31 July 1973 [4 Aug 1972] 36360/73 Heading G3T [Also in Division H2] In an electronic timepiece, e.g. a wrist watch, having a liquid crystal display panel 9 which is fixed to a base member 13 together with an electronic circuit block 12, 12 , the latter is connected to the display panel by means of resilient contacts 15 which pass through notches 16 in the base member and are guided into position during assembly. As shown the panel 9 is glued to a frame 11 which is screwed to the base 13 on the opposite side from circuit board 12. The contacts 15 are soldered to the board 12 and are deflected during assembly by inclined surfaces (21), Fig. 3 (not shown) of the notches, so as to engage connection strips of appropriate display electrodes 4. The electronic circuitry 12 comprises a conventional oscillator, divider, and distributing circuit.
