Abstract

1408897 Chimney and like flashings J T GARROD 15 Oct 1973 [27 Oct 1972] 49676/72 Heading F4B A flue pipe joint with a tiled roof comprises a double walled flue pipe 2 projecting beyond a flashing 4 and having a reduced end 12 formed with angled lugs 14 associated with a fitting 24 formed of coaxial tubes 16 and 18, the latter having a skirt 30 overlapping the flashing. Located between tubes 16 and 18 is an inverted U-shaped collar 20, the outer leg 22 of which is formed with lugs engaging the lugs 14 to form a releasable connection. The parts of the fitting may be riveted or welded together or it may be an integral unit. As applied to a single bore type it may be made of plastics material and may be a push fit into the flue pipe. The top of the fitting may form a male connection to a ventilation terminal.
