Abstract

1408555 De-odorising and disinfecting toilet seats K S J MOSSE 25 Aug 1972 [25 May 1971] 17049/71 Heading E1C A holder for an air freshener aerosol spray can having a central button which when depressed produces a spray of the de-odorant comprises retaining means for the aerosol in the form of a tubular housing 100 open at its upper end and at least partially closed at its lower end 102 to retain the aerosol, means for mounting the housing on the rim or lip of a toilet bowl, and an actuating member 108 pivotally mounted on the housing by providing a pair of diametrically opposed apertures 104, 105 in the housing for insertion of the actuating member, a pivoting margin of one of the apertures, e.g. the upper edge of aperture 105, providing for pivoting of the member 108 to actuate the aerosol spray button 114, preferably via a rounded projection 110 on the underside of the member 108. Conveniently the actuating member is in the form of a flat bar having an enlarged circular portion 109 to locate the projection 110 centrally of the housing, and is retained by a cap 112. A bracket 116 is clamped to the outer face of the holder, the bracket including a slotted aperture 119 to enable it to be fixed to the bowl via the seat hinge bolts. The container delivers fluid through nozzle 111 into the toilet bowl.
