Abstract

1407602 Carrying liquefied gas CONCH INTERNATIONAL METHANE Ltd 29 Dee 1972 [31 Jan 1972] 4385/72 Headings B7A and B7S [Also in Division F4] A liquefied natural gas ship has cargo holds 4 defined by inner hull 2, pairs of transverse bulkheads 3 and at least one longitudinal bulkhead. A tank 6 in each hold is held supported in its hold by tie members 13 provided on a face 15 of the tank adjacent said longitudinal bulkhead. The arrangement is such that the tie members of each tank support the tank against its respective longitudinal bulkhead. The vessel shown has double longitudinal bulkheads forming longitudinal cofferdam 5 as well as having transverse cofferdams.
