1406834 Variable-pitch pumps; turbines STONE MANGANESE MARINE Ltd 15 May 1973 [4 Sept 1972] 40926/72 Headings F1C and FIT [Also in Division B7] In a ship propeller, turbine or pump assembly a variable pitch blade control device comprises a control ring mounted externally on and for rotation with shaft 8. The control ring is axially displaceable with respect to the shaft to vary blade pitch and is actuated by at least two thrust members 2 each of which is movable axially with respect to the shaft by a respective hydraulic servomotor 1 non-rotatably disposed externally of the shaft.
