Abstract
1406136 Electric couplings TECHNILEC SARL 8 June 1973 [13 June 1972] 27446/73 Heading H2E Blocks 10 have grooves 11, 12 to hold insulated conductors 25, 27, 29, 30 in a service duct. Mortices 21 accommodate the ends of needle-shaped pins of tapping connectors (not shown). The blocks 10 are loosely located in the duct between longitudinal fins 5, lugs 15 and notches 16 locating the blocks 10 precisely relative to the duct cover 8, so that slots 17 for the pins are aligned with the mortices 21. Hooks (not shown) engage apertures 18 to fix the connectors to the duct; the hooks extend into spaces 7. In between blocks 10 the channel 19 is clear so that conductors 27, 29 can cross over as shown. The base 1 has fixing holes 20. The cover 8 rests on the fins 5, its edges snapping beneath beads 3. Flanges 5a hold conductors in the grooves 11 (Fig. 2, not shown). The central groove 12 has resilient noses (24a, 24b, Fig. 3a, not shown) or rigid beads (26, Fig. 3b, not shown) to hold the conductors. Alternative blocks (Fig. 5, not shown) provide for phase, neutral and earth connections. The blocks 10 and the cover 8 are preferably of heat- and fireresistant thermosetting material, and the base moulding 1, 2 of thermoplastics or of aluminium with an insulating internal coating.
