1406027 Soil fertility means in rod form W R REES 12 June 1972 [12 March 1971] 6735/71 Heading C1B A soil fertility means is in the form of a rod (e.g. triangular and tapered) which is insertable endwise into the soil and contains or is composed of a soil fertility agent. The rod may comprise a fertilizer or soil conditioning agent and optionally a binder (treated seaweed, sodium alginate, starch paste, animal glue or soluble cellulose) and/or a rigid support (e.g. of wire, wood, plastic, paper or plant stem). Examples comprise seaweed, peat, NPK fertilizer, ammonium salts, micro nutrients, bone meal, urea, potassium nitrate, potassium sulphate, superphosphate, basic slag and sand.
