Abstract

1404146 Apparatus for removing batches of rod-like articles from a container MOLINS Ltd 21 July 1972 [2 Aug 1971] 718/75 Divided out of 1404141 Heading B8C The subject-matter of this Specification is identical with that described with reference to Figs. 1-3, 9-12 and 16-20A in the parent Specification 1,404,141, but the claims are concerned with an apparatus for removing batches of rod-like articles from a container at an unloading position, each batch comprising a stack of said articles, said apparatus comprising means for moving through the unloading position a succession of containers containing batches, means for successively removing batches from said containers, conveyer means for receiving batches removed from said containers, retaining means associated with said conveyer means for confining said batches on said conveyer means, and means for withdrawing said retaining means so that the batches received on said conveyer means may be moved away from said unloading position as a continuous stream of articles.
