Abstract

1403904 Feed device for rotating screens COAL INDUSTRY (PATENTS) LTD 10 April 1973 [11 May 1972] 22143/72 Heading B2H [Also in Division B8] A feeder for spreading particulate material within a rotating conical screening drum 2 comprises an inlet chute 4 which supplies material feed thereto from a conduit 10, to a plurality of adjacent inclined chute plates 14 forming an inclined stairway effect with the free discharge ends 16 of the plates 14 being stepped vertically and horizontally relative to each other to spread the discharging material across and along the drum interior. The outer edges of the two outer plates 14 of the multiple chutes have upstanding sides to contain the material on the chutes.
