Abstract

Buchets and moulds for sand; mechanical constructions, details for building up. - An element for use in building toy structures consists of a stiff sheet 1, Fig. 2, of material, such as sheet metal, provided on.its edges with loops 2 or other equivalents whereby the element may be secured to other elements by passing rods through the loops. The elements may be of any suitable shape, but preferably the sides of one element are either equal to, or are multiples of, the length of the sides of other elements. A structure built up from a number of such elements can be used as a mould for making models in sand. For building up a structure from rods, the element may consist of a tubular portion 11, Fig. 9, to fit over the end of a rod and a loop 12 the width of which is approximately equal to the diameter of the part 11. Another form of element, particularly intended for supporting an axle beneath a model truck, consists of a plate 4, Fig. 10, having a hole 5 for the axle, loops 6 to grip a rod, and projections 7, 8 to prevent the element from rotating about its mounting.
