1403228 Making terminals; stamping CURT WINEMAR AB 25 Sept 1972 [27 Sept 1971] 44145/72 Headings B3A and B3Q [Also in Division H2] An electric terminal suitable for use with a battery post 2 comprises a cap-shaped portion with one or more slots 1c extending from the periphery at the open end of the cap. It is pressed from a strip of lead-coated brass by use of a mandrel (4) and die (5), the width of the strip being chosen in relation to the diameters of the mandrel and die in order to produce slots of the required extent.
