Abstract

1402584 Calendar timepieces SUWA SEIKOSHA K K 25 Sept 1972 [7 Oct 1971] 44209/72 Heading G3T While the date ring 11 of a calendar watch is being indexed by a tooth 55 on a resilient portion 59 of a driving member 50, the portion 59 is held against deflection by a pin 54 thereon which engages the side of a relatively large hole 58 in a calendar advancing wheel 25. The remaining portion 57 of member 50 is secured to the wheel 25, which rotates once per day, by means of pins 52, 53 which fit into holes 56 in the wheel 25. Ring 11 can be corrected by a calendar correcting mechanism (not shown) in the same direction as it is indexed by member 50, and during correction the resilient portion 59 is deflected by teeth 12 on the ring 11. A second driving member 51, which is pivoted eccentrically with respect to the wheel 25, has pins 61, 63 extending into relatively large holes 64, 65 in wheel 25, and a resilient portion 62 with a tooth 66 which indexes a day wheel 20. During indexing, resilient movement of portion 62 is prevented by the pins 61, 63 engaging the sides 70, 71 of holes 64, 65, but during correction of the wheel 20 by the correcting mechanism the portion 62 is deflected by teeth 21.
