Abstract
1401400 Valves DYNAMIT NOBEL AG 22 June 1973 [22 June 1972] 29909/73 Heading F2V [Also in Division F3] A partition 5 separating the combustion chambers of a multi-stage solid fuel rocket comprises one or more plugs 11 which are axially displaceable by propellant gas pressure from apertures in the partition and are then displaceable laterally to partially or completely open the apertures. The plugs in the embodiment shown are carried by radial arms 13 extending from a sleeve 23. A pin 21 extending radially from a spigot 14 co-operates with slots 22a, 22b in the sleeve to permit the axial and lateral displacement of the plugs. In other embodiments the plugs are laterally displaceable by springs or by means of a rotatable ring.
