1400835 Egg opener RATHDOWN INDUSTRIES Ltd 29 Aug 1973 [31 May 1972] 25459/72 Heading A4D An egg topper comprises a plate 1 having an aperture therethrough 2, a cutting member 4 pivotally mounted thereon, and having two cutting edges 6, 7 either of which is movable across the aperture, a sharp point 8 being provided on that part of the cutting edge which initially meets the aperture periphery as the edge moves thereacross. The cutting member may be generally pear shaped, having a handle 5 at the narrow end, and the plate 1 may be bent to provide a handle 3. The topper may be made of stainless steel or plastics material.
