1400735 Structural elements; stud-andsocket fasteners PLAYART LTD 27 June 1972 30150/72 Headings E1K and E2B [Also in Divisions A6 and F2] A rod-like frame element 18, Fig 1, in a toy construction set for assembly into a doll's house comprises two angle sections 22, 24 forming a pair of mutually perpendicular slots, the frame element having a generally arrowshaped cross-section with a head and tail 32, 34, Fig 2. The lower end of the frame element 18 has transverse notches 42 for engagement by a pivoted latch 30 beneath a doll's house base 2 when the element is inserted through a slot 20. The latch 30 is of T-shape, and turns about a pivot 36, to engage in one of its arms 38 and its tail 40 in the two notches 42. Above the notches 42 are second notches 44, for engagement by lugs 46 at the bottoms of wall panels 4, 6, 8. Axial slots 48 at the top ends of the frame elements receive lugs 52 on the wall panels 4, &c. In the form shown, a doll's house has a front and two side walls 4, 6, 8 and the rear wall is omitted: alternatively, a rear wall may also be provided. Following erection of the frame rod elements 18 upon the base 2, together with the side and rear walls, an internal floor partition 14 is slidden into place from the rear, so that it forms the first floor of the doll's house, with its corners 56 resting upon flanges 58 half-way along the frame elements. A vertical partition 16 is then slidden into a slot 60 extending half-way across the floor partition until a coacting slot 62 is received between ridges 64 on the floor partition. Roof panels 10, 12 are placed on top of the side walls to align holes 72 in end flanges 68 with holes 74 at the top of the wall panels 4, &c. Finally studs 82 on lock bars 80 are inserted through the aligned holes 72, 74 to secure the roof panels 10, 12 in place.
